What happens when you sign up

Look first. Pay later, or not at all.

Step one

Create the account

An email address and a password. No credit card, no call, no sales process. You're inside straight away.

Step two

Open the whole platform

Every screen and tool you just watched: the map, the ten layers, compare, the area scanner, the property pin and the report builder. What the free account doesn't show is the data itself. That's the part you pay for.

Step three

Turn the data on, if you want to

Buy a block of access from inside the platform. One payment, no subscription, no auto-renew, no card kept on file. Your login just switches on.

Put it in perspective

Most people spend thousands to protect a property. Almost nothing to protect its performance.

Here is what a typical purchase actually spends, and on what.

Building and pest inspection$550
Solicitor or conveyancer$3,500
Landlord and building insurance$3,000
Research and due diligence on the area$0
Spent protecting the building$7,050
Spent choosing the area it sits in$0

The roof gets checked. The title gets checked. The building gets insured for a decade. The one decision you can never undo gets nothing.

You cannot renovate your way out of the wrong suburb.

Straight answers

The things worth knowing before you sign up.

What do I actually get for free?

The whole platform. The map, all ten layers, compare, the area scanner, the property pin and the report builder. Every screen you just watched.

What the free account doesn't show is the data itself. That is the part you pay for. We would rather you saw exactly how it works before deciding whether it's worth anything to you.

I'm on my phone. Can I use it now?

Not properly, and we would rather say so now than let you find out later. Brixel is built for desktop. The map, the layers and the reports all need screen space to be worth using.

Make the account here anyway. It takes about thirty seconds, costs nothing, and will be waiting the next time you open a laptop. That is the whole reason there is no card to enter.

Is it a subscription?

No. If you decide to turn the data on, you buy a single block of access from inside the platform. Nothing auto-renews, no card is kept on file, and when the period ends it simply ends.

Do you tell me what to buy?

No, deliberately. Brixel shows you the data and the map. The interpretation and the decision stay with you. Nothing in the platform is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.

What is actually on the map, and where does it come from?

Ten layers over the same ground: typical price, yield, five year growth, infrastructure, education, health, transport, shopping, parklands and mining. Behind them sit 28 data fields covering prices, growth, rents, population, ownership and the regional economy.

Population and economics come from the Australian Bureau of Statistics. Infrastructure, transport, education, health and retail are compiled from state and local government project registers and operator records. Coverage is not uniform, and where there isn't enough behind a figure we don't show the figure.

One last thing

Amateurs guess where capital growth is. Pros don't.

A buyers agent charges $8,000 to $20,000, and a large share of that fee is the area research done before you are shown a single property. This is that work, without the fee.
